Designing an app concept to make it easier to discover upcoming NFT events

Streamlining discovery
With the birth of Web3, everything is currently a bit all over the place – there’s so much happening on a day-to-day basis that it’d be no surprise to find it overwhelming. Also, with NFTs quickly becoming more widely accepted, it’s only natural that related events are becoming more common.

I wanted to create an app that I would find helpful, and that a newcomer would find just as useful, to enable them to dip their toes into this new world. Frendly houses all the online and IRL events, which the user can filter by date, location, type of event, membership status required and so on.

Frendly – User Feedback
A user-centric approach

I set out to uncover the existing issues in the space & create an app that helped to solve them.

It was immediately clear through speaking with members of the NFT community that, as a result of this space being in its infancy, there was no real central hub acting as a go-to for NFT related events.

It was also clear that community was at the heart of everything – and so I wanted to incorporate this into the concept by allowing users to see who was going to be attending what, as well as allowing them a glimpse into their NFT wallet. Think Ticketmaster – but with a social aspect.
